At the beginning of the year:
School Science and Technology Fair Co-ordinator ensures all interested students and teachers have access to information regarding the Fair (www.sanfordsciencefair.org.nz).
School Co-ordinator applies for a School login address for this website. This will be used to complete online entries and access a list of prize winners from his/her school. Logins will need to be renewed each year to update School Co-ordinator details.
Schools run their own mini science fairs to select their best exhibits for entry into the Sanford Science and Technology Fair.
Friday 30th August 2024:
School Co-ordinator ensures that all entries from his/her school are completed online on the entry form on this website. An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent by email. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Friday 6th September 2024:
Science Fair boards to be dropped off at St Josephs Timaru School Hall between 3.30 - 5.30 pm.
Saturday 7th September 2024:
Judging will occur without students present. Students can include a QR code on their board with a video (max. 2min) explaining/demonstrating their project. This allows working models to be shown.
Prizegiving:
Prizegiving will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at the Craighead Auditorium.
A list of prize winners from each school will be emailed to the administration email address for each school as soon as it is available. The list of prize winners will also be entered onto our website www.sanfordsciencefair.org.nz. It is expected that all prize winners will attend the Prize Giving.
Prize certificates will be attached to exhibits.
